Easter ignited integrally Passionate living of God’s Love
Jesus was a Passionately Integrated Master
Biblical
experts note the point that each Evangelists had his own way of the
presentation of the Resurrection Narrative of Jesus. But what strikes most is
the sharing of the Faith Experience by the followers of Jesus who have left
many lived examples of his living presence as a risen Christ who ignited
integrally passionate living of God’s love in their hearts. It was a Kingdom
Passion with a dream to create a world of love, sharing, communion, dignity and
respect for all and above all the announcement of the message that God loves
all.
Resurrection
presentation in the Gospel is a symbolic presentation. And therefore instead of
trying to find the exact word and details of the account it is good to
understand the symbolism and the truth it tries to communicate. There is also a
call in the Gospel to experience personally Jesus who is risen.
Easter is an experience of love, hope and assurance.
Jaime: When I
asked Br. Jaime one of my good friends and a theologian to explain to me about
the significance of the Resurrection for us today he came out with the
following reflections:
Jesus
disciples in his memory have to love the values he loved and try to follow him.
What he loved was kingdom values where all have equal worth and dignity. Nobody
can be excluded in His eyes.
His influence vibrating in their spirit and blood
Jesus
disciples experienced his presence more personally even after his death. They
were able to pulse his touch and influence vibrating in their way of doing and
being. Even today we could witness to the love, self-sacrifice and commitment
of Jesus being lived by many Christians in a very heroic way. Is it not a beautiful Resurrecting
experience to meet and hear persons like Pope Francis who brings God alive to
millions of people who long for true meaning?
