The Spirituality of the heart

Our world is the beautiful place on the one side but on the other it is becoming an island with lots of barriers for the needy and the less privileged. Travelling around the world I discover stark realities of war, violence, exploitation of nature for selfish gains, religious intolerance on the one hand. On the other side generous hearts coming together to jointly do something to make this world a better place. I use the word spirituality of the heart meaning we need Divine and human motivation to do our better. It doesn’t mean the sheer following of the religious rituals.

People become spiritual when they apply the reasons of the heart. This spiritual initiatives involve one to be sensitive, thoughtful, generous to know the needs of others and work towards a world of harmony where human dignity is respected. Even in the political scenario of our world there are good politicians who suffer due to their stand to protect human rights and dignity. They have a heart full of love and compassion. Spiritual connection with the creator will remind me that I have a Father God who propels my heart to witness his heart that wants the happiness of all.

Heart inspires one to think and act differently in every and any situation. Our children and young people need continued motivation and training for this lest they become insensitive to the needs of other people and their suffering. There is a danger in a world deprived of spirituality that they don’t understand the consequence of their selfish avarice and exploitation.
